This bachelor thesis deals with Habsburg-Polish relations in the 1st quarter of 18th century. Its main sources are represented by the correspondence (primary of political nature) between Franz Karl Count Wratislaw von Mitrowitz, Imperial Ambassador to Saxony and Poland-Lithuania, and Reich Vice-Chancellor Friedrich Karl Schönborn. Main goal of this thesis is to reveal the ambassador's everyday practice in negotiating the alliances and building international relations between two sovereign countries in the early 18th century. |
