dc.description.abstract	Es ist eine nackte Tatsache, dass auch die Kultur der zu erlernenden Sprache genügend kennen gelernt wird, um sich die jeweilige Fremdsprache anzueignen. Um eine Fremdsprache zu beherrschen, braucht man mehr als nur das sinnvolle Aneinanderreihen der Sätze. Fremdsprachenlernen in diesem Sinne bedeutet Sprach- und Kulturlernen. Und dies bedingt das Konfrontieren mit dem Fremden. Da für viele Fremdsprachenlerner, die sich in einem weit(er) entfernten Land aufhalten, die erste Begegnung mit der Zielkultur im Klassenraum erfolgt, bleibt dem Lehrenden fast nichts anderes übrig als das Fremde im Lernraum vertraut zu machen. Und dafür steht ihm die “Kontrastive Landeskunde” zur Verfügung, die die interkulturelle Kompetenz (interkulturelle Kommunikation) der Lernenden aktivieren kann. Von dieser Tatsache ausgehend wurden die StudentInnen im ersten Semester an der Deutschlehrerabteilung befragt, um Ihre Erwartungen in Bezug auf die Landes-kundevermittlung festzustellen, mit dem Ziel die Motivation im Unterricht zu steigern. Wenn der Lerner die Gelegenheit findet, die fremde Kultur mit seiner eigenen zu vergleichen, kann er die Ähnlichkeiten und Unterschiede besser wahrnehmen, wodurch das Gelernte eingeprägt wird.	ger

dc.description.abstract-translated	It is an undisputed fact that, in order to master a foreign language, it is imperative to get enough acquaintance with the culture whose language one learns. The classroom is the first and perhaps the only place for a person who tries to learn a foreign language in a country far from the target culture to encounter that culture for the first time. Therefore, the class is the place where the students get acquainted with the foreign culture, and the teacher is the person who provides them help in that subject. In this context, the course of “country knowledge” (culture) is highly important. Considering this fact, in order to determine the expectations of the first grade students who first had this course in German Teaching Department and thus to increase their motivation, they were asked about their expectations from this lesson. It is the students’ desire that comes first to learn preferably the communicational sentences and structures most needed to go on the daily life in the target culture. The statements, made by the students, show that the motivation will significantly increase if the elements of lingual behaviors needed in the real communication environment are dealt with. It is the students’ expectations to learn the expressions considered as the basic elements needed most in the target culture that come in second. Particularly these expressions that are also necessary for the faculty of understanding what one reads, almost all the expectations require dealing with the “country knowledge” (culture) by comparison; because the students can learn the target language better, see the similarities and differences between two cultures more clearly, and their learning will be more long lasting if they find a chance to compare the target culture with their own.	eng
