Množství nových učebních materiálů pro výuku jazyků roste každým dnem. Tyto se často setkávají s okamžitou kritikou ohledně výhod a nevýhod. Cílem této práce je poskytnout čtenáří náhled do problémů souvisejících s užitím Internetu v hodinách anglického jazyka. Konkrétně je práce zaměřena na využití online zdroje doplňujícího učebnici. Teoretická část se zabývá obecnými rysy online zdrojů a jejich problematických oblastí. Dále se zaměřuje na specifické rysy obou na poli rozvíjení řečových dovedností. Cílem je vypozorovat, zda kombinace těchto materiálů má nějaký přínos. Praktická část představuje malý výzkum na české střední škole. Ačkoli výsledky možná nepřeváží kvality online zdroje, slouží jako autentický náhled do reality českých škol ohledně možností začleňování Internetových zdrojů do hodin anglického jazyka. |

The variety of new language teaching materials is expanding day by day, often encountering instant criticism as for their benefits and drawbacks. This paper attempts to provide the reader with an insight into the enigmatic issue of incomporating the use of the Internet into English language teaching. Concretely, it aims at the use of a supplementary online source which accompanies a printed textbook. The theoretical part concerns general features of online sources and their problematic areas. Next it focuses on specific features of both the textbook and the particular additional online source on the field of speaking skills development. The overall aim is to observe whether the use of both in combination leads to any enhancement of lesson. The practical parts consists of a small scale research carried out at Czech secondary school. Although the outcomes might not overweight the benefits the additional online source possesses, it serves as an authentic picture of the reality at Czech schools regarding the possibilities of incomporating the Internet-based sources into English language lessons. |
