Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup Development of an Intelligent Racking System for early Detection of Abnormal Conditions(IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), 2023) Dobrovolný, Martin; Fikejz, Jan; Roleček, JiříThis paper deals with the design and application of intelligent sensors for monitoring the condition of racking systems. The article briefly describes the current state of the available solutions, which are, however, unsatisfactory for customers. The paper presents the concept and architecture of the proposed solution and the communication links between the components. The solution is based mainly on accelerometer sensors and an evaluation system. Part of the project preparations included the preliminary measurement of accelerometric accelerations during impacts to racking systems. The research and application work will be carried out within the MIT OP TAK project "SmartRack - Research and development of intelligent racking systems for early detection of non-standard conditions", which will be solved at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Pardubice in the years 2023-2025.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup Proposal of a smart water meter for detecting sudden water leakage(IEEE, 2018) Fikejz, Jan; Roleček, JiříThis article deals with a proposal of a smart water meter for monitoring water consumption and for accidental leakage detection. The hardware part of the smart water meter consists of a mini-computer and a pulse water meter. Application logic is then in the hands of the original software that evaluates water consumption patterns. If a water leak is detected, the smart water meter uses a ball valve to close the inlet. The meter also has a self-learning mode that can recommend set limits within the reference period. A separate application interface is designed for communication between the meter and the user. Various computer simulations were used to test and initiate different water consumption scenarios.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Otevřený přístup Utilization of Machine Learning to Detect Sudden Water Leakage for Smart Water Meter(IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), 2019) Fikejz, Jan; Merta, JanThis article deals with the use of machine learning to detect sudden water leakage. A smart water meter, which enables monitoring the water consumption of the observed object, is used as the source of input data. Based on these data and their analysis, a symbolic regression, which must know not only the input parameters but also the structure of the model, was finally used to build the model. After finding a suitable function and standard deviation from the model, it is possible to set the required sensitivity and thereby detect anomalous states of water consumption in monitored time windows. Since the smart water meter also has a ball valve, if a sudden water leakage is detected, the water meter can autonomously close the main supply and thus avoid extensive damage.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup Utilization of computer simulation for solution of flood-control resevoir protection function(Dime University of Genoa, 2019) Fikejz, Jan; Roušar, Ladislav; Zachoval, TomášThis article deals with the use of a computer simulation to solve the protective function of a flood-control reservoir as a support tool for flood wave transformation. Attention is primarily focused on the design and implementation of a simulation tool enabling to implement selected mathematical approach for numerical solution of the balance equation of inflow, outflow and retention of water in the reservoir. The designed software tool is then used for the selected experiment of transformation of theoretical flood wave by flood-control reservoir.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup Utilization of computer simulation for detection non-standard situations within single-track lines(Dime University of Genoa, 2019) Fikejz, Jan; Merta, JanThis article deals with the use of computer simulation for induction and detection of non-standard/crisis situations within single-track railways. First, attention is paid to the collection and evaluation of historical data, which are then used for the designed simulator. The article then focuses on the design of a simulation tool for inducing non-standard/crisis situations within a monitored segment of a railway network. Simulation tool is then used for selected experiments.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup Software Solution Incorporating the Steganographic Principle for Hiding Pictures within Pictures(IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), 2016) Brožek, Josef; Marek, Jaroslav; Svoboda, VáclavAlthough steganography has been known since the 15th century, its bloom as a scientific branch came as late as the second half of the 20th century. Contemporary information technology allows for use of steganographic principles to place hidden content in both visual and audio media. The article covers application of mathematical methods and software engineering methods for hiding pictures within pictures, and their subsequent recovery. The techniques described and applied for concealing pictures are: a) LSB modulation, b) Y-channel addition, c) pixel-set addition, d) frequency method and e) addition for jpg compression. Apart from introducing the methods and describing them, a software solution allowing for demonstration is also described. The next part of the article covers the problematic of concealing audio content, with the help of the following methods: a) LSB modulation, b) parity encoding, c) phase shift, d) tone addition.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup The design of railway network infrastructure model for localization of rolling stock with utilization technology oracle spatial and dynamic database views(Springer International Publishing AG, 2016) Fikejz, Jan; Řezanina, EmilIn its first part, this article discusses various options for the localization of rolling stock, with an emphasis on regional lines. The following part focuses on the description of the three-layer rail network model design reflecting an undirected graph. The proposed model is used for simulation of rolling stock traffic and induction of various non-standard situations, detection of which could be used as a supplementary aid to dispatching traffic control. Further attention is aimed on optimizing search operations ORACLE database and designing of the optimization using dynamic views.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup Use Of Web Services For The Localization Of Rolling Stock With Utilization Technology Oracle Spatial(University of Genoa, 2016) Fikejz, Jan; Merta, Jan; Oborník, JakubThis article deals with utilization of web services for the localization of rolling stock on the railway network using Oracle Spatial technology. Attention is focused on the description of the rolling stock location in a designed model of the Czech Republic railway network. Further attention is aimed on the design of web services for localization of rolling stock position on the server side with additional information for passengers.Konferenční objektpeer-reviewedpostprint Omezený přístup Software for determining the quality of a tests(IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), 2016) Svoboda Václav; Marek Jaroslav; Brožek JosefThe arcicle focuses on methodology of determining the quality of tests.
