Time Series Movements in Art Prices
(Univerzita Hradec Králové, 2021) Pozdílková, Alena; Marek, Jaroslav; Nedvědová, Marie
The aim of our paper is to understand the price behavior of artworks, mainly graphics sold in one selected Czech auction house. The publicly available information obtained from internet auction systems provide price time series of monitored painters works. We focused on the prediction of the price development using linear regression methods. Approach presented in our paper provided finding an artist whose painting prices are rising statistically significantly. We worked with a dataset of total of 398 aintings by 10 Czech painters. Authors with at least 11 auctioned paintings will be used for statistical analysis. We did not focus on art auctions with the most expensive paintings, but on paintings and graphics that are affordable for the general population. The graphics d minated the data collected. The goal of our study is to estimate the annual change in works of art in the Czech Republic and compare with respect to inflation in the period from 2014 to 2020. In the final discussion, an assessment of the further price evelopment of works of art is also discussed.

Economics of Dairy Farm: Simulation Study
(CAL-TEK SRL, 2020) Nedvědová, Marie; Marek, Jaroslav; Pozdílková, Alena; Haloun, Tomáš
The aim of this paper is to estimate economic consequences of an LDA (Left displaced abomasum) treated cow. After a surgery to correct this displacement, cows had a lower average milk yield, lower reproduction characteristics, and consequently a lower number of lactation cycles, less calves, longer period between calving, compared to other cows. We will use breeding simulation with the help of a constructed function to describe the price aspects. Knowledge of analysis of diary milk-yield production, probability of survival, and ability to reproduce will be used. The Arena software will be used for the simulation. The main goal is to estimate the lifelong profit of an individual cow from a group of healthy cows and an individual cow from a group with LDA disease.

Growth Models of Female Dairy Cattle
(Springer Nature Switzerland AG, 2020) Marek, Jaroslav; Pozdílková, Alena; Kupka, Libor
Different methods of representing animal growth are possible and are defined for different animal categories. In this paper, weight measuring of female dairy cattle will be modelled by several nonlinear models. The most commonly used methods for describing the growth of animals are: Gompertz function, logistic function, Schmalhausen function, Brody function, Weibull function, Wood function and Von Bertalanffy function. Measured weight values and estimated parameters of growth curves will be analyzed using regression analysis methods. We will work with the weight measurements of 10 calves under 25 months of age from cowsheds in village Záluží in the Czech Republic. A comparison of several growth curves will be done. The suitability of individual models will be evaluated not only by the index of determination, but also by the intrinsic curvature according to Bates andWatts. This curvature affects the size of the linearization areas in which initial solution will ensure convergence of nonlinear regression.

A Simulation Study of Depot with Multiple Temperature Modes: Maximum Flow Estimation
(IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), 2019) Nedvědová, Marie; Pozdílková, Alena; Marek, Jaroslav; Bažant, Michael; Steingartner, William; Korečko, Štefan; Szakál, Anikó
The aim of this paper is to make a truck loading simulation in a large area with several warehouses each with a given temperature mode of stored goods (frozen, refrigerated, and unrefrigerated goods). When loading goods in different temperature modes, time delays occur when trucks are crossing between ramps (ramps for various temperature modes are separated). The problem is that if the number of ramps is insufficient, queues may arise. The aim of the paper is to quantify the dependence of the loading time on the number of loaded pallets where we consider usually achievable loading area limits of trucks when planning multiple trips. We assume that customer order quantities are given by a Beta distribution. Knowledge of this density estimate allow us to assess the maximum flow through the depot. Arena software is used for the simulation.

An Approach to Web Advertising Server parsing - Apartment Price Analysis in the Czech republic
(IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), 2019) Pozdílková, Alena; Nedvědová, Marie; Marek, Jaroslav; Steingartner, William; Korečko, Štefan; Szakál, Anikó
The real estate market is not subject to frequent analyzes in the academic field, which is due to the difficulty in obtaining data. By automatic polling, we are able to get data on the floor area of advertised apartments and the asked purchase price. A Python script was written to retrieve data from sreality.cz. At 2:30 am every day, the script downloaded ads from the website sreality.cz. The MongoDB database is used to store ads. New ads are saved directly to the database. If an ad has already been stored in the database, it will only be updated if needed (price change, etc.). Then, daily and monthly summaries for used filters are created in the database. The filtered data can then be displayed or exported to a file via the web interface. We will present analysis of data in various municipalities of the Czech Republic in the period 09/2018 – 08/2019.

Fire units in Slovakia: Analysis of outgoings
(Slovenská technická univezita v Bratislave, 2019) Hajdúková, Tatiana; Marek, Jaroslav; Marcinek, MIan
The aim of the article is finding the basic statistical characteristics for fire brigade operations within the Slovak Republic. According to the law, Fire and Rescue Service is obliged to present information related to its activities annually through statistical yearbooks of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic. The total number of fire brigade outgoings in 2017 was 33672. In Slovakia, we have used five classes of outgoings. Classification of outgoings on technical assistance, fire, traffic accidents, and splitting of dangerous substance is provided. The study of outgoings of fire service units has been realized in the municipalities of the Slovak Republic. Numerical studies have shown how the number of fire unit outgoings and times of their durations have changed in different regions, different months and different days.

Estimation of the capacity of human perception using computational aesthetics
(IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), 2019) Nedvědová, Marie; Marek, Jaroslav
The paper is part of a broader study to utilize some hypotheses, methodologies and tools from Computational Aesthetics, the foundations of which were created in C.R. Shannon's »The Mathematical Theory of Information». Using the basic ideas of computational aesthetics, a picture can be seen as a message. Cybernetic aesthetics introduces information flow to describe perceptible information. Further cybernetic aesthetic proposes characteristics for conspicuity and intelligibility of artwork. In the sample survey, using these variables, we try to measure the quantity of perceptible information in the image. In the literature, human perceptual capacity values are reported close to 15 bits per second. Our aim will be to verify this information. We will do our study with 200 responses of 35 respondents, where we will measure their ability to perceive different elements in M.C. Escher's "wallpaper" paintings. Part of the study will be a statistical evaluation of the measurement.

Estimates of unknown transformation parameters in terrestrial measurements: One simulated problem
(Dime University of Genoa, 2019) Nedvědová, Marie; Marek, Jaroslav; Chmelař, Pavel
In connection with the expansion of 3D scanners, 3D object modeling has become highly studied in recent years. Many methods are currently available to solve the registration problem, whereby unknown transformation parameters need to be estimated when targeting a 3D object in multiple scans from different locations. Two different problems are encountered in the practice of targeting 3D objects in geodesy or construction. In the first variant, the measurement of the coordinates of the points of the 3D object is realized in several scans on tens of points marked with targets on a reflective surface. In the second variant, measurements of the coordinates of "clouds of hundreds or thousands of points" are available in several scans from different coordinate systems. In clouds it is necessary to find matching pairs of points, called identical points, based on their color match. In both versions, the coordinates of identical points from different coordinate systems must be recalculated to the selected coordinate system during data fusion. The problem leads to finding unknown shift and rotation transformation parameters. The aim of this article is to simulate the measurement of identical points in multiple scans. We will create a test task that can be used to test the methods proposed to solve the registration problem.
