Bakalářská práce Otevřený přístup Radiotherapy of patients with pacemakers and cardioverter-defibrillators(Univerzita Pardubice, 2022) Mavungo, Ariela Bertini Cumba; Pospíchal, Jan; Lierová, AnnaThis bachelor's thesis examines how radiotherapy may affect the functioning of cardiovascular implantable electronic devices, specifically pacemakers and cardioverter-defibrillators, aiming to provide accurate information on how often error occurs and possible reccomendations to facilitate the management of patients and increase care effectiveness. The first part focuses on the heart's electrical conduction system and the rhythm pathology, cardiovascular implantable electronic devices, the construction of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, its functioning, patient management, and radiation therapy treatments and its modalities. The second part will provide an overview of the incidence of device malfunction, focusing on the consequences of radiation in patients with cardiac devices malfunctions.Bakalářská práce Otevřený přístup The role of MRI in the evaluation of valvular heart disease(Univerzita Pardubice, 2022) Kanyemba, Maria; Pospíchal, Jan; Lierová, AnnaThis bachelor thesis is a literature review of different articles about the importance of MRI in diagnosing valvular heart diseases such as stenosis and regurgitation. It further differentiates MRI from other techniques such as CT and echocardiography.Bakalářská práce Otevřený přístup Radiation-induced lung injuries after modern radiotherapy methods(Univerzita Pardubice, 2022) Heletsi, Selasi Abla; Lierová, Anna; Pospíchal, JanThis bachelor's thesis introduces the modern techniques used in radiation therapy of thoracic malignancies. The theoretical part is devoted to describing the susceptibility of the lungs to radiation injury during radiotherapy with the use of modern radiotherapy techniques, and describing these injuries. The practical part assesses the effects of conformal radiotherapy techniques compared to conventional radiotherapy techniques in thoracic cancer patients, their effects on healthy tissues, and the prevalence of lung injuries.
