Táto bakalárska práca je zameraná na tému lymská borelióza a jej imunologické aspekty. Literárny prehľad je zameraný na charakteristiku ochorenia lymskej boreliózy, patogenézu, rozpis jednotlivých štádií spojených s ich symptómami a možnosti liečby. V hlavnej časti práce sú základné informácie o imunitnom systéme a následne sú opísané interakcie baktérie s imunitným systémom a popis priebehu infekcie. V texte sú vysvetlené aj metódy priamej a nepriamej detekcie daného patogénu a vyhodnotenie ich výsledkov. Posledná časť rešerše je zameraná na históriu a problematiku vývoja vakcíny. Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je poukázať na vážnosť tejto bakteriálnej infekcie a popis hostiteľovej imunitnej odpovede. |

This bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of Lyme disease and its immunological aspects. The literature review is focused on the characteristics of Lyme disease, pathogenesis, breakdown of the individual stages associated with its symptoms and treatment options. The main part of the thesis contains the basic information about the immune system and then describes the interaction of the bacteria with the immune system and a description of the course of infection. Furthermore, the methods of direct and indirect detection of the pathogen have been described as well as the evaluation of their results. The last part of the review is focused on the history and challenges of vaccine development. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to highlight the seriousness of this bacterial infection and to describe the host immune response. |
