Diplomová práce se zabývá alternativními tresty, které je možné uložit pachatelům trestných činů v České republice a analýzou jejich využití v letech 2009-2019. Práce vymezuje základní pojmy vztahující se k tématu, definuje pojem trest, jeho funkce a účel a popisuje koncept restorativní justice, ze které alternativní tresty vychází. Dále představuje jednotlivé
alternativní tresty, které je v České republice možné uložit pachatelům trestných činů, jejich historii a výhody či nevýhody tohoto způsobu trestání. Popisuje také Probační a mediační službu, jež má v tomto institutu důležitou roli. Praktická část je věnována kvantitativnímu výzkumu, který je založen na analýze dostupných statistických dokumentů. |

The thesis deals with alternative punishments that can be imposed on criminals in the Czech Republic and an analysis of their use in 2009-2019. It also presents individual alternative punishments that can be imposed on criminals in the Czech Republic, their history, and the advantages or disadvantages of this type of punishment.
