Abstrakt:
The quality of human relationships, the willingness of managers and subordinates to mutually cooperate and communicate is directly affected by the economic results of the company. This paper focuses on a current gradually increasing trend in the Czech Republic, namely the Enterprise Social Networks and its ability to be used as a communication tool. The effectiveness of personnel processes as part of a personnel strategy is directly proportional to the creation of harmony among job performance, motivating people and incurred labour costs. It is strongly influenced by the quality of management and the level of a company’s front and back offices. The vast majority of companies are aware of this finding, as the costs associated with employees are a significant percentage of the total costs of the organisation. The aim of this paper is to answer the hypothesis which deals with the research of costs for internal communications in connection with the implementation of enterprise social networking in the organisation. The methodology of this paper is based on comparative qualitative research, on the bases of a survey conducted in the Czech Republic by 2014 across business sectors. To confirm or reject the hypotheses, a statistical test was used. Clear criteria were established in order to ensure a credible selected sample of respondents and the organisations were selected using the MagnusWeb database information system. Based on the results of the research, an empirical generalisation and interpretation of the results was carried out. The paper seeks to discuss and demonstrate that in today’s knowledge-based economy, modern technology can be used to support cost-effective internal communication.
