Formation tendency in transition metal based liquids and some related property changes in glassy state
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Bán, Krisztián; Balla, S.; Novák, L.; Syabó, A.; Lovas, A.
The cluster formation tendency in supercooled liquids and the glass forming ability (GFA) are usually discussed independently in the literature [1, 2, 3]. In the present paper we try to connect these phenomena in order to reveal their common origin. In the first part of paper the thermodynamic background of cluster formation will be treated. Subsequently the manifestation in thermal and magnetic properties are discussed. The mechanism of amorphous-nanocrystalline transformation is also explained as cluster phenomena. Finally, some results in the field of Hinduced magnetic and structural changes will be reported.

Airport charges – pricing patterns at selected european airports
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Hoszman, Adam; Drahotský, Ivo
The paper analyses the differentiation of airport charges as well as is aimed at the identification of regularities and factors influencing these charges. A set of ten airports was analyzed with different operational parameters (load factor, transfer traffic share) applied to different aircraft in order to analyze airport charges with regard to the policy of a a given airport towards point-to-point and transfer traffic. Airside and landside charges were analized separately, but cumulative charges were investigated too. Based on the result of this analysis conslusions were made according to the regulatities that can be observed among airports in terms of airport charges. This research can be considered preliminary and shows the need for further investigation of the problem based on a wider sample of airports.

Analytical calculation and experimental verification of lateral stiffness of a flexi-coil spring with tilting rubber-metal pad
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Michálek, Tomáš; Vágner, Jakub; Kohout, Martin; Zelenka, Jaromír
This paper deals with possibility of modification of lateral stiffness of flexi-coil springs by means of rubber-metal tilting pads. On basis of the Gross’ calculation of lateral stiffness of a flexicoul spring, a modified calculation of lateral stiffness of a flexi-coil spring equipped with a tilting pad is derived. Besides to the analytical calculation of the lateral stiffness of the assembly spring–pad for constant value of angular stiffness of the pad, a numerical method of the calculation, which allows considering of non-linear characterictics of the pad, is proposed. In the next part of the paper, the calculated lateral stiffness of the spring with pad is compared with results of measurement performed for several loading states on a test stand in heavy laboratories of the Jan Perner Transport Faculty. The experimental verification shows that the proposed calculation describes the trends in lateral stiffness behaviour very good; however, it seems to be necessary to perform some further improvements because the absolute values of the measured and calculated stiffnesses show certain deviations.

Effect of the different technological processes during and after casting of hypouetectic aluminium alloys on the eutectic Si particles morphology
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Hurtalová, Lenka; Tillová, Eva; Chalupová, Mária
The purpose of this article is to examine the effect of different technological processes during and after casting of hypoeutectic Al-Si cast alloys on the eutectic Si particles morphology. The changes of Si particles morphology were studied on samples in as-cast states (untreated state). The used technological processes for affecting the Si morphology were: modification with Sb, T4 heat treatment and age-hardening. The best results were achieved with T4 heat treatment, because it caused the greatest changes in morphology of eutectic Si particles and it was the aim of this experiment. Morphology changes were studied with light and scanning electron microscope. A several types of etching methods, which includes regular black and white etching (Dix-Keller; HF), and deep etching (HCl), for studying of structural parameters morphology were used.

Influence of modification on the structure and morphology of fracture of AlSi13Mg1CuNi silumin
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Romankiewicz, Remigiusz; Romankiewicz, Ferdynand
The investigation revealed that the modification of the AlSi13Mg1CuNi silumin with the additives 0,25% AlSr10 and AlCu19P1,4 simultaneously provided the change of the morphology of eutectic silicon from the lamellar into the fibrous one. The change resulted in a double increase in the impact resistance of the alloy and the widening of the plastic area of the fracture of the silumin samples.

Nonlinear Wheel/Rail Contact Geometry Characteristics and Determination of Hertzian contact
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Onat, Altan; Voltr, Petr; Lata, Michael
In this study a procedure to obtain contact points and its characteristics is given. Widely used S1002 and UIC60E1 profile is used as an example to illustrate the proposed methodology. Firstly wheel/rail geometry is presented along with the calculation of contact points by considering roll angle of the wheelset. Afterwards a more realistic contact search method, namely quasi-elastic contact search, is presented. Lastly, the determination of the Hertzian contact patch is shown in details by giving numerical solution to elliptical integrals.

The characterization of zinc plated surface after aged adhesives
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Özdemir, Alp; Švanda, Pavel
The use of adhesive bonding rather than mechanical fasteners offers the potential for reduced weight and cost. This paper aims to make characterization of zinc plated surface and aged adhesives (in water at 50 °C. Surface analysis related to zinc plated surface and adhesives were carried out by using analytical scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). Acoording to SEM results related to corrosion resistance which are adhesive types, Polyurethane was good, Sikasil SG20 was medium level compared to others, Sikaflex®-552 was very low corrosion resistance. As seen that in the peeling test, Polyurethane was the worst whereas SikasilSG-20 was the best. However, Sikasil® SG20 adhesive would be good choose compared to others, in case of this type of adhesion should improve the feature of corrosion resistant on zinc plated steel surfaces.

Fatigue life of synthetic nodular cast irons at high frequency loading
    (Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Vaško, Alan
The paper deals with comparison of microstructure, mechanical properties and fatigue properties of synthetic nodular cast irons with a different ratio of steel scrap in a charge. Chemical composition of individual melts was regulated alternatively by ferrosilicon (FeSi) and carburizer or metallurgical silicon carbide (SiC). The paper shows positive influence of SiC additive on the microstructure, mechanical properties as well as fatigue properties of nodular cast iron. The additive of metallurgical silicon carbide in analysed specimens increases the content of ferrite in the matrix, decreases the size of graphite and increases the average count of graphitic nodules per unit of area. Consequently, the mechanical and fatigue properties of nodular cast iron are improved.

Pitting corrosion OF Cr-Ni-Mo stainless steel in presence of MoO42- chloride solution
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Zatkalíková, Viera; Markovičová, Lenka
The submitted manuscript focuses on the pitting corrosion of AISI 316Ti steel in very aggressive chloride solution with added sodium molybdate, which is considered the effective inhibitor of the local corrosion of stainless steels. The effect of molybdate on resistance of AISI 316Ti steel to pitting was tested in 5% ferric chloride solution by 24-hour exposition immersion tests. The tests were carried out at room temperature in the absence and presence of various molybdate concentrations (0.025 M, 0.05 M, 0.1 M molybdate). Resistance to pitting was evaluated on the bases of corrosion rates calculated from corrosion losses during immersion and by morphology of pitting, which was observed visually (character of pitting, pit shapes) and by optical microscope (pit shapes and pit profiles).
