Tato práce je zaměřena na téma virtuální komunity hráčů MMORPG World of Warcraft. Mapuje a popisuje sociální struktury a procesy, které mezi účastníky této hry probíhají ve virtuálním prostředí i mimo něj. Dále se práce zabývá motivací hráčů k dlouhodobému hraní a opakovaným návratům ke hraní. Zaměřuje se i na otázku vlivu hraní hry World of Warcraft na přátele rodiny hráčů. |

This thesis focuses on the topic of a virtual community of players of the MMORPG World of Warcraft. It maps and describes the social structures and processes the game participants engage in both in the virtual game world and outside of it. Furthermore, it elaborates on the players' motivation for long-term gaming as well as for repeated resumptions of the game. Lastly, it concentrates on the influence of playing World of Warcraft on the players' friends and relatives. |
