Diplomová práce "Význam internetu v edukaci diabetika" se zabývá využíváním interneru mezi pacienty s diagnostikovaným diabetem. Zkoumá názor pacientů na možnost edukace o diabetu prostřednictvím internetového vzdělávacího programu.
Teoretická část charakterizuje diabetes mellitus, stručně popisuje komplikace a léčbu onemocnění. Věnuje se významu edukace v péči o diabetika a přibližuje internet jako možný zdroj pacientových informací o diabetu. Ve výzkumné části práce jsou prezentovány výsledky dotazníkového šetření mezi 71 respondenty s diabetem. 39 respondentů (55%) pracuje s počítačem, všichni přitom používají internet. Z těchto 39 respondentů by polovina (19 respondentů) uvítala internetový vzdělávací program o diabetu a domnívají se, že by tato forma edukace zlepšila kompenzaci diabetu.
Výsledky indikují, že zhruba čtvrtina studované diabetické populace by uvítala vzdělávací program o diabetu šířený pomocí internetu. |

The thesis "Internet in Diabetes Education" focuses on the use of internet among the people who were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. It investigates patients´ opinion on the possibility of diabetes education through an internet based education programme. The theoretical part of the thesis describes diabetes mellitus, its complications and treatment modalities. It focuses on education as one of the key components in clinical care in diabetology. Internet is introduced as a source of information about diabetes, readily available for the patients.
The research part of the thesis presents the results of the questionnaire survey among 71 diabetes patients. 39 respondents (55%) regularly work with the computer and have access to the internet. Of these 39 respondents, a half (19 patients) assume that an internet-based education program would attract them and could help to improve their glycemic control. The results indicate that roughly one quarter of the diabetes population would participate in an internet-based diabetes education programme. |
