Abstrakt:
The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze Sylvia Plath's written work and find any suicidal tendencies in them. The initial portion of this thesis deals with the author's complicated life, describing it from three points of view - her family, her studies and her relationships with men. Later, her written work is introduced. The second part of this paper explains the term suicide and three pieces of her work are analyzed in terms of suicidal tendencies - The Bell Jar, The Collected Poems and The Journals of Sylvia Plath.
