Práce se zaměřuje na alternativní medicínu - především shiatsu - a její poměrně rychlý a velký rozmach, s čehož se stává sociální fenomén. Práce je zaměřena na lokalitu města Pardubic a terapeuty zde působící. V úvodu práce jsou nastíněna myšlenková východiska, ze kterých studentka vychází. Dále se autorka zabývá historií alternativní medicíny v České republice, komunitou terapeutů v Pardubicích a fungováním této komunity. Popisuje důvody, které vedou terapeuty a klienty k vyhledávání shiatsu. |

alternative medicine is becoming a social phenomenon. The thesis focuses
on district of Pardubice and therapists working there. The introduction

deals with history of alternative medicine in the Czech Republic, the
community of therapists in Pardubice and its features. She defines
reasons for using shiatsu among therapists and clients. |
